Narrative Text~Reading skill for Grade 8 Junior Hight School








NARRATIVE

A fairy tale aims to entertain and attract readers' interest by presenting stories or events that have problems that cause conflict and at the end of the story there is a resolution or a happy or even sad ending. Actually narrative text is not limited to mystical, fictional, legendary, fairy tale or fable stories, but other stories are in the form of adventure, mystery and all forms of stories. In essence, narrative text is about stories

NARRATIVE TEXT STRUCTURE
1. Orientation: introduction or opening in the form of body recognition, time and place.
2. Complication: combining conflicts or emerging problems.
3. Resolution: conflict resolution or steps observed to respond to problems.
4. Reolentation: the closing of expressions that show the story is over is optional.
5. Coda: changes that occur in characters and lessons that can be learned from the story.

CHARACTERISTICS OF NARRATIVE TEXT
1. Certain noun as a person, animal, and object pronoun in the story.
2. Individual participant, focused on specific participant (actor) stories
3. Past tense uses past tense verbs.
4. Time connective and conjuction to sort events.
5. Action verb and verb thinking verb that shows reporting or utterance

RIVIEW
The text of the review aims to provide reasons for a work such as film, music, books, and the like. The text of the review generally presents the criticism or appreciation of the work piece in question.

RIVIEW STRUCTURE
1. Orientation: introduction to the work to be reviewed.
2. Interpretative recount: plot summary or storyline or content.
3. Evaluation: the assessment or interpretation or interpretation that the author makes about the work.

RIVIEW TEXTS OFTEN USE CERTAIN LINGUISTIC ELEMENTS, INCLUDING:
1. Particular participant, focused on specific participants (works) that are specific.
2. Perspective adjective, using adjectives that show attitude or judgment.
3. Long and complex sentences, many use long sentences and complex structures.


EXPRESSING
1.    Plan:  -    to day I was going to grandma’s house.

2.   Motivate:     - life is a struggle, there isno life without a truggle.

3.      Persuade: - you do not get angry all just a misunderstanding.
-          Should not cry we’ll ralk aboutthis problem.
-          Sister do not cey, brother later traded to us.
-          I hope you persuade her to join with me tomorrow.
-          I can’t to induce him to help me.
-          I am sure you can, as long as you want try.

4.      Speculate: - I will consider the result of the assessment.
-          I will answer you tomorrow.
-          I was thinking about the valve of my exam.
-          I speculate to join with you.

5.      Ancouragment: - you must collect deufies English now.
-          To day at 03:30 pm all home work must be completed.
-          You have to go home now.

6.      Predict: - I think this event is completed at 03:30 pm.

9.      Regret: - I am sorry, it was a stupid thing to say, I regret it.

-          I am sorry I should have done my homework.

10.criticizing: -  sorry, I must say your performance is not verygood.
-          I have to say, his performan is pretty disappointing.
-          what do you think about my new shoe?
